Sunday Sunday, Sunny Sunday!

My typical Sunday's in college consisted of a wake up in time for the last plate been given out at the community dining hall that so beautifully likes to call itself a place where dreams come true! Please, we get only vegetarian under cooked, meatless crap. Nevertheless, having had a crazy night the previous night, and being slightly hungover among other things, you just eat what you're given. Without complaining.

Now I'm back home. Things work differently here. You tell your parents what you're doing. You have to. It's the norm and one that you have to follow. I still wake up late on Sunday's though. Not so late that I only make it in time for lunch, but late enough for my mother to get mad at me. "Grow up", she says! Hell yeah, I'm grown up. If only you knew what I do away from your preying eyes!

Sunday's now are chill. Sunny chills. It's sunny outside but relaxed at home. We hang out as a family, play games, chit-chat, cook together. I like it. And to be honest, I miss when I'm away! Still, I can't stay home forever. I can't wait to get out already! Get out tonight and some fun!

Tell then, goodbye folks! Enjoy your sunny Sunday! And all you college-going peeps, relish your time at home!

Happy Sunday!

College Life

Is this yet another college blog post? No. Is this one of those posts where you rant off about how awesome college life is. No, well, maybe, yes. I'm not sure what this is post is about, but I hope it'll be entertaining enough!

College life is simple. If I had to describe it in one word I'd say "carefree". Why, you may ask (and rightly so). Let me explain it to you.
1. You never tell your parents what you're up to
2. Even if you do chances are you made up a very good story (common, who hasn't done that?)
3. During orientation they tell you can have icecream every morning - now really, did you do that at home?
4. Sex. Need I say more?
5. On a more serious note (for all the old ones reading my blog), we get to chose the courses we want to study.  Well this may not entirely be carefree, but we are given a choice. And with choice dear friends, family, and readers, comes the element of being carefree. I am not told to chose courses that are right for me (and even if I am, let's face it, how many of us listen to our peer adviser, career counselors or even the Dean?!)

And with this, I'd like to end my post. So folks, it's almost time for the freshman guys to go to college - don't be scared. You'll love it. It's carefree!
